How about Dick Dastardly’s “Drat! Drat and double drat!”?

Yes boys, they did however leave the cartoon ‘violence’ in back in those days. Bugs et al have been cleaned up so much, they’re not as funny anymore.

Tom & Jerry really did a number on each other. Ha

…….not on Bugs Bunny………I hate that Wabbit!!!!

Always wondered, what is so funny about replacing “r” by “w” (seriously…!)

I’m glad Rover wears a collar with ID tag. Even though Lizzie is mostly inside, she has hers on all the time. Plus her doggy fitbit is also on it, lol!

And that’s the beauty of the old Looney Tunes/Hannah Barbera cartoons — we’re not subjected to the profanity that seems to have become the norm now!

No profanity, just extreme violence; thank goodness (most) kids can differentiate between cartoons and reality!

Ah yes the good old days, when the violence was in the cartoons and kids were safe in schools. Back then no one in the cartoons ever got hurt, it was all make believe. Then they took the violence out of the cartoons.

Now the violence is in the schools and every one gets hurt.

Just trying to get the kids used to the sounds of gunfire.

And yet, with all that violence in cartoons back then, we had less in our schools. We had parents that taught us what was right and wrong. We knew it was not ok to shoot our classmates and teachers, even tho we had guns in our pickup trucks. Tom and Jerry, Droopy, Bugs and Daffy, were all part of our lives growing up, but there was a lot more “Peace and Love” too! (I grew up in the 70’s). Somewhere along the line, less parenting, less discipline, and more anger have come into our children’s lives. God help us.

Then there was the Bugs and Yosemite Sam cartoon where Sam gets an inheritance, but loses a bit every time he swears. The cartoon was filled with creative near-swears throughout.

I like Red’s sarcasm ……….. and Rover’s look ……. :)
