Could bring a new meaning about where her father goes when he’s out of town?

Nothing wrong with living in an apartment over a store. Lots of folks end up doing that after retirement if they don’t need or can’t afford a house and don’t have the income for a ‘luxury’ apartment…

I would like to live in an apartment over a drugstore or a small general type store.

This is the funniest joke punchline I have read all day. How the country ranch changes into an apartment over the drug store in the town! I’m rolling on the floor laughing right now, he haw!

At one time it was a ranch. Her story should, maybe, be about urban sprawl.

That sounds like a unique and interesting place to spend the summer! Living above a drug store must have its own charm and convenience. You probably have easy access to anything you needed and a great view of the town.

Her father likes to keep up appearances. (In another strip, he sends Patty to private school.)
