I’ve had two cats who played fetch

In both cases it was a game they taught us how to play

I have had two cats who fetched. At my previous house I had a cat who fetched milk rings. That was Kyle named after Selena Kyle, a.k.a. Catwoman. At my current house, I had a cat who fetched bouncy balls. I would sit in my basement room and throw the bouncy ball out into the basement area. The ball would bounce all over the place with the cat chasing it. Then he would bring it back to repeat. that cat was Ezekiel, but we called him Zeke.

You gotta hand it to him, ‘cause he won’t pick it up.

When I was six, I thought merely chasing a thrown stick constituted fetching, so I declared that my cat fetched one.

Maybe he should try confusing the cat first…I hear there’s a service that does that!

Cats can be taught! The misinformation will never cease. I taught a kitty to sit, stay, fetch and come when called. They are especially eager to learn when they are younger.
