I’ve only hit one dog while driving. I never even saw him. I started to pull over, but I saw the dog running lickety-split away, probably never ran so fast in his whole life. I think what happened was he ran into the side of the car, so he did not get “run over”. Just probably a bruise and a memory that made him more wary of cars…
