When I was in the USAF and stationed at Offutt AFB, NE, on the really cold days -20°F and lower, we’d stand behind the 135s as they taxi’d out to the taxiway to warm up in their exhaust. We’ dome back into the shop smelling like we tried to start the world’s largest barbecue, but 80° breezes were had to find in Nebraska in February.
