An upset kitty?!

Is she fixin’ ta get into some bad doings ?  She has that “I’ll think of a way” look in P.3. Gertie needs to keep an ear cocked for abnormal unnatural sounds.

Kitty planning revenge?

Cats that claw furniture, break fragile things, or don’t use the litter box don’t get to live here any more.

Talk about a whole lot of nothing. As usual.

Watch out! That cat is planning to eat you!

Yesterday it was Gertie, and today it’s Mee-Meow talking to the fourth wall in the last panel!

Starting about 6 months or so ago, if my 14 year old cat wakes me up and is persistent like that, especially at 3am, I know that I’m the one who needs to eat. She only does that if my blood sugar is low. She’s never been wrong about it. And yes, she gets a treat for it.

Ever since she showed up there’s always been something “off” to me about the way the cat’s been drawn, and I think I finally put my finger on it… Jim draws her as though she has a human’s bottom lip, which is a lot fleshier and more capable of movement than what a cat should have. I assume this is to make her look more expressive, but to me it makes her come off looking more like a character from the musical Cats than an actual cat. What’s weirder is that, looking back a few strips, he doesn’t do this for Chef Meowrice, who looks fine in comparison.
