It probably doesn’t matter that much what to do now. It’s not as if mom went to bed without knowing the tardy one was not there. Just lay down, get some sleep, hope that mom doesn’t figure how late, and hope and pray for the best.

If her mommy wakes up, just tell her you’re up extra early so you can serve her breakfast in bed.

I never worried about how late I stayed out, or early I came home. The back door was in my bedroom. In and out, no one knew.

I think wetting the bed might be a bigger issue.
