I have a good friend who’s a mortician. He graduated with a B.S. in Electrical Engineering. But then he enlisted in the Army upon being told by his local Draft Board that he would most probably be drafted. After his service time, the GI Bill paid his going to mortuary school. He then took over his father’s business. Don’t think he’s ever worked a day as an electrical engineer in his life.
My Electronics instructor in High School had been a mortician’s assistant before he became an instructor. He had a rather interesting book with unusual pictures.

the only one who doesn’t need to know how to divide, Agnes, is a carnivore in the jungle. Be one.

Diesel engines are getting more complicated every day, I’m not sure Agnes has the attention span.

Morticians need to know division, when they have to saw off tall people’s legs to fit them in a short box

You would not think they would need to know how to divide up the remains.
