Mondays are just another day when you’re retired! The only problem is I don’t have long weekends to look forward to and I lose track of when it’s a holiday, rattling the locked door on the bank……..

“I hate Mondays” is Garfield’s line.

“Every day is Saturday to a dog.” …or a retiree.

I should be retired but can’t afford it (yet?)… fortunately for me I thoroughly enjoy my work, and my boss is a really great guy… (self employed, btw… lol!) So Monday, Friday, whatever day, no problem for me!

No wonder he feels so weakened, he thinks it’s the weekend.

Is that what is meant by the phrase, “It’s a dog’s life?” (I know, I’m just putting a different spin on the maxim.)

I put a calendar app on my phone to help me keep track of the days, and all of those doctor appointments.

I used to look forward to going to work on Mondays, to rest up from the weekend. Now there’s no rest for the wicked.

I woke up on a Monday thinking it was Thursday. Retirement is grand. It was a good day for playing! Monday or Thursday made no difference.

Being retired is the same. I hate weekends. Too busy.

I have been retired for 26 years (retired at 41), and let me tell you Wally, infinite Saturdays are not all they are chalked up to be.
