I worked for a 16mm “art theater” (not a euphemism) as a projectionist. They were too cheap to rent the posters with the movies, so I was paid a pittance to draw “movie posters” in charcoal.
I don’t have an art degree, although I was accepted to a university program. I made the mistake of giving my employers a month’s notice and was fired on a pretext the next day. Instead, I wound up homeless at the Texas Renaissance Festival for a couple of months. I still do art but I’ll never have a degree.
Oh, well. I’ll just have to be satisfied with degrees in Physics and Chemistry. :)
