Woman: Elly, I don't understand why I can't lose weight! I buy all naturally grown, organic produce... I do my own baking... how can anything so healthy be so fattening?
God I can sympathize with this one. Once you start getting closer to 30 than 20, being a 5’4 female means you can’t ever eat anything fun unless you work out like a maniac or eat like an anorexic the rest of the week.
Even being vegan doesn’t make you stay thin after 50! Of course, I was fat before I “saw the light”, I lost some weight but I’ll never be able to resist the bean dip and fritos (both are vegan)!
Someone compared recipes from the 1960’s to today’s. The ingredients and amounts of those ingredients have changed little. But, there are fewer servings in the final product. A brownie today is 3 times the size of a brownie then.

Let that be a lesson to all you health-food nuts. Healthy is fine but it’s not everything.
Maybe she needs more exercise. Children, or a puppy… ;)

Susan001 says:
“Maybe Connie is afraid her husband will dump her for some anorexic bimbo.”
I remember that Connie was divorced in the original story. Is that currently the case in the re-runs, or a fate that awaits her?

I’m pretty sure that this is not Connie, but someone else.
