It’s not just the chonky Pluggers who have that problem. Between the beginnings of diabetic neuropathy in my feet & the pinched nerve in my back that makes one of my legs go numb, I have to sit down so often that I carry a camp stool in the car in case I have to go someplace where I have to do a lot of walking.

Your’re a Plugger when your mind says, “I can still do that!” And your body says, “Try it and die, fat boy!”

The plugger cycle is; I can do it. Then aches and pain. Then doctor. Then better. Then repeat; I can do it……

What if your mind says, “You can’t do that! Don’t even try!” and the body responds, “OK, I won’t!”?

I used to believe in Mind Over Matter. That was before I contained so much Matter that is Fatter.

Or your mind and body end up saying, WHY did we DO THAT?

I never was any kind of a jock, so this is less of a problem. However, some days the dog walks are a push.

Plugger takes a Kit Kat break, he’s been hitchhiking on Hwy 6 in Iowa.

Or when your mind says “You WILL do this!” and the other side of your brain says “Nah, I don’t think so!” and flips to nap mode.

It sure does

Or the cat falls asleep in your lap and you tell yourself, “I’ll do that when she wakes up.”

Yes, I find this more and more. Glad I can get in a nap most days, so I can make it to bedtime. ;-)

Amen to that. :-(

I think “exhausted” would avoid the scatological associations of sitting like that with a strained look.

It can wait.

You never know until you try. But keep the aspirin and your joint braces collection handy in case you can’t.

Truth here. Many times my body will say: “You can’t do this, boy,” but my pride will say: “Oh yes you can.” Regrets come shortly after.
