Gil looks like he’s thinking, “Don’t blame your crappy current situation on me!” And speaking of thinking, you should be thinking of visiting Mopped Up Thorp right about now.
Coach Kaz—man of action—has a go-getter’s literal-mindedness. “I wouldn’t be where I am today if it wasn’t for Gil. Here, at this table, drinking wine with you! He invited me!”
P 2.5 “How long have you been around here, Beth? What, a couple of years? Hang around two or five decades and then you’ll understand why I left. Or mostly left.”
P2- “Well, I didn’t want to leave. But when Gil saw Luke’s wife, Frannie, he dumped me and hired Luke. All I got is Rhonda, here, and she doesn’t even smell pretty.”
The Eagles left Milford, OH last night to spend an evening in West Clermont where the Wolves devoured them 49-21. If they hadn’t gone they wouldn’t be where they are today which is 3-2 overall, 2-2 and sitting in fifth place in the Valley (aka Eastern Cincinnati Conference). On the bright side, Milford is making a difference sitting in the projected tenth seed position in Division 1, Region 4 OHSAA computer rankings for the playoffs at the half way point in the season.

P3: Fair comment. Gil did invite him to dinner at his house, so he would not have be where he is today if it wasn’t for Gil.

No, Kaz, you wouldn’t be where you are today if it weren’t for Henry. And we will never forgive him for that.
