Some folks (not referring to zoos here tho they have their issues, too) like to create thoughtlessly bred hybrids of odd and unresearched, incompatible crosses, marketing them as Exotic, and demanding [getting] stoopy/un-necessarily high prices for their commonly dysfunctional get. When the new owner can’t/won’t manage the animal, either for its behaviour or the time/patience (and/or foresight to recognize the potential need or a pro), required to develop and maintain a human friendly pet, that “pet” becomes…difficult…. and subsequently dumped.
