My granddaughter likes to clip overgrown ivy in my yard. The first time, when I told her she had to pick it all up, she said “why do I have to do all the work?”

Grandpa Earl is being a bad example…

Back in my early years, a frosty A & W root beer at the drive in was often a reward — not a diversion. In the Pickles household, trouble is brewing.

Earl won’t see what happens but he sure will feel what happens.

I actually suspect Earl’s going to bring him back, and they’ll clean it up together. But we’ll see.
