“Grounded for eternity”… I wish I had thought to use that one a few times. It’s not very realistic, but might convey how serious I was to the offending child. Sadly, grandkids and greatgrandkids don’t really count but I can now let their parents take care of things.

Every time I try using that stuff, I end up gluing my fingers together. Then in a panic, I rush to the nail polish remover. Marvelous Invention !

I’m impressed that they got the nearly-impossible timing down to do that (i.e., getting the glue to stay wet and then dry at that precise moment).

Are they “grounded” in their parents’ bedroom? Or do they sleep together in one bed?

For someone my age “Grounded for Eternity” has a very different meaning.
