I’ve been a Star Wars fan since 1977, watched all the movies, live-action shows, and a number of animated series. After a number of lackluster Disney+ series, I just couldn’t work up the interest to even bother watching their latest series. Apparently I wasn’t unique, as “The Acolyte” was their least-watched live-action Star Wars series so far.
Well, I felt the writing was done by fourth grade level fans who had not seen any previous films or tv shows, live or animated and just were writing something to show off their lack of talent. We ended up unsubscribing from Disney+ after watching Inside Out 2 earlier this week. We might come back after researching the bundle with Hulu and ESPN they are offering, but don’t your chickens.
I think I must be the only person in North America who didn’t like “Star Wars”. Only saw the first and third one. Mid way through the third one I found myself rooting for the Empire. My very young daughter did like the “teddy bear people” as she called them. We talked about the teddy bear people until her much older, more worldly sister (6 instead of 3) made us go sit in another part of the theater.

I enjoyed the first Star Wars, didn’t care for the second and never watched any of the rest.

This cartoon seems all too real to be funny. Our youth today is on the edge with no ‘tools’ to back away peacefully.
