Niow why did Ellie assume the liquid in the measuring cup was water for the steam iron? She wasn’t shown starting to get water for the iron and getting side tracked.

She must not have noticed it was in a clear measuring cup and had carbonation.

This is sort of like a “comedy of Errors”! Poor Elly! This will cost another iron, no doubt.

I totally forgot about clear Pepsi, thank god….lol

Among other soda colors, we had white birch. It was clear.

I’ve never heard the term “clear soda.” Had to google that one.

We had a similar event except my sister had a cup of peroxide out in the laundry room when my mom started ironing. Let’s just say the iron, my dads work pants and my sisters week where all ruined.

“Clear soda,” how exciting!…

The ever-wise Dawn Enjo casts a despairing eye at her clueless friend. Those Enjos are always so insufferably wiser and more mature than the laughable Patterson clan.

Ugh! And all that sugar congealed within the plumbing. Toss it!

i retired from the navy in 1993. the ironing board hasn’t moved from behind the spare room’s door since. i have no idea where the iron is.

I once made a grilled cheese sandwich with yellow frosting Mom had stored in a margarine tub.

I don’t think she’d wind up with just grape scented clothes. I think the iron would be gunked up with burnt sugar.

If she’s that absent-minded, I hope she’s not one of those people who pours bleach into a glass and leaves it sitting out where the kid can get it.

The iron probably won’t survive.
