I hated getting screamed at by customers because of something management had decided. I’m sorry but I need my job and I don’t like you well enough to lose it for you. The worst was when they would insist on seeing a supervisor and they let them do the thing. Thanks for having my back.
“Let me take down you phone number so he can vent back to you.”
Seriously, I’m a Medicare Advantage Health Insurance customer of a truly lame company. I have literally had to contact the CEO of the company to find where I can get urgent care and, on a separate occasion, why they have not paid one of my providers after 90 days.
Price of energy goes up (fuel), they pass that on to the consumer (you). If due to “climate change” the farmers can’t grow enough rice, the price goes up, and gets passed to the consumer (you again). If the employees demand higher wages, and the employer agrees, then once again the prices go up and gets passed on to you. As the consumer, you have to understand these things, and not blame “price gouging”. Why aren’t you instead blaming the government for all the taxes we pay? Get mad at the correct villains here people!
Well, with increased tourism, poor harvests for the last three years, with young people not wanting to farm, the price of rice has taken a very sharp uptick in Japan. The long drought in California put a dent in the rice industry there and they are just catching up, hoping for a wet winter.
A month ago, a certain brand of fruit snack was reduced in price for a sales ad by 30%.When it goes off sale, and the price goes back up next week, people will be complaining about how we’re always raising prices.
Of course, they COULD buy the other brand that will be going on sale that week for about the same Ad Savings. But it’s easier for some people to complain.

That will definitely get their attention. I once called a company ceo at 0300 just to make sure he understood how.. irritated.: I was with things.

1. When prices are lower, these companies just decided to be more generous.
2. Oftentimes it is not the store that sets the prices, but the warehouse.
