    Sometimes this can work out to your advantage. I had a pesky “friend” who kept asking for a loan, although he also vowed he’d pay it back quickly. So I gave him a little bit. Later (weeks past his promised payback deadline) he came around again asking for another loan. Told him he had to pay the previous loan back first. He got mad and self-righteous, but after he stomped off empty-handed I haven’t “had the pleasure of his company” for over three years now.

    Never lend money especially to a ‘dear’ friend, it will ruin your friendship. If they can’t take no for an answer they’re not your friend anyway.
