There was a video game parlor on my way home from work. I would stop every day and play DEFENDER. I was shown how to play by an 8 year old kid, LOL! I had callouses on my knuckles as the joystick was very short. That is how much I played. One day I made it to number one!! Lasted a couple of days. I figured it only cost about $300 for that fleeting glory.
As a kid the pinball game cost a dime and as a young man it cost a quarter in the commons of the BOQ on base which didn’t diminish my love for the game. Now I have a Playboy Edition pinball game in my rec-room, and it still gets as much play as the pool table between myself and my friends. I keep it on free play but the thought of how much money I could make off my buddies did cross my mind.
For some reason, I am picturing Mr. Grady wearing his old high school letterman jacket! Probably listens to ‘Glory Days’ by Springsteen thinking it he was the inspiration!

Of course the pinball wizard was deaf, dumb and blind. Wouldn’t wish that on Wallace.

Oh hush, Mr. Grady. You had a good run, but now it’s time for someone else to bask in the glory.

Keep Mr. Grady away from the pinball machine. He will either ‘stumble’ into it causing a tilt or ‘accidently’ unplug the machine.

I wonder where Wallace finally got the coins for the machine. Maybe Rose let him rummage through her sofa cushions…

Good luck, Wallace!! I loved playing pinball when I was growing up. I wasn’t very good at it but I still found it fun!!!
