My uncle used to be footloose. Then he had his prosthetic tightened.
True story: my uncle had a prosthetic leg below the knee on one leg. He was also an avid skier. Once while skiing in the alps his ski caught on something in the snow. The ski got stuck, taking his prosthetic with it. He was such a good skier, that he was able to ski on the one leg / ski until he could stop a bit further down. Other skiers who happened to witness this were quite shocked, thinking he had torn off his leg.
My friend Cloudia [I actually mean Claudication] now has been slowing me down, so I need to pause at street corners and contemplate my surroundings while running errands.
Everyone I know with a new knee is happy with it… Several wonder why they didn’t have it earlier. Considering the pain you have to be in before you get a knee replaced (they don’t replace good ones) I’m guessing the fancy fled before the surgery. Don’t blame the kneed.
Right now my body is battling to see if I get a hip or knee replaced first. I periodically have problems with my left hip and both knees. Luckily, I don’t think I am that close to needing surgery yet.

My feet are still pretty loose, but my knees, hips and back are locked up tight.

“When I was young, I used to go to new hip joints. Now I’m getting a new hip joint.”
Can’t remember where I heard that.
