Oh, Janis’s hair is getting gray while her husband hair is still like it was, does that mean Janis is older?

What gibberish and hubris. The Earth rotates as it rotates, we lose nor gain nothing when we change our clocks. It doesn’t speed up (thus we don’t “lose” an hour), nor does it slow down (thus “gaining” an hour) because we go through a psychosis in autumn and spring.

Time is real, and constant. Clocks and human “time” are human constructs. At the equator the Earth rotates at 1,037.5646 MPH or 1,669.8 KPH and it completes one rotation each day, or in what us humans label as 24 hours. We could as easily label each day as 60 hours or 100 hours, or 12 hours. Contrary to human hubris, the planet doesn’t change its speed of rotation.

Clocks and human “time” are necessary for (what we call) “civilization” to function (in all its dysfunction). We need a standard so people all arrive at close to the same time to accomplish complex tasks

Anyone who thinks we gain or lose an hour of our life or even daylight because we change a clock shouldn’t be allowed near anything important or complex.

I get a bit perturbed with all this time-switching. They now say Jesus was born in 6 B.C. Huh? Born six years before he was born?!? Argh! Need more coffee!

I never remember if my bedroom clock changes automatically. So this morning I woke up and found it was an hour earlier in real time.

‘We were all doing a tour of the library here and talking about the significance of the passage of time. Right? The significance of the passage of time’. ‘There is great significance to the passage of time in terms of what we need to do… And there is such great significance to the passage of time when we think about a day in the life of our children’

We’re stuck with this time change “stuff” for the foreseeable future. Half of the US population wants to go back to permanent “Standard” time while the other half prefers permanent DST.

The timid politicians won’t do anything (especially in an election year) because they might lose a vote or two.

You never really gain an hour nor do you lose an hour, you just change the “name” of what you call it at the moment. IMO Daylight Savings Time has lost it’s purpose and should be left in the history books.

Daylight saving time has always been a horrible idea.

If you want an extra hour of daylight in the evening then you can get up an hour earlier if you want but don’t force an entire nation to share in the delusion that you somehow saved time by doing so.

Now that we’re back on STANDARD time we should stay put.

I’m glad he is excited about getting his hour back. I couldn’t tell any difference in sleeping, I don’t feel anymore restedl. My biggest compksint is it being darker a hour earlier. To me, that is the hardest part for me to get used to!!!

Malwarebytes is very displeased with recently. There have been phony “update your computer’s drivers” – an extremely high risk action that is much more likely to install malware instead. Today there was a new scam, although I didn’t see which of the half dozen ads dancing around the screen lately was responsible for it. I had to abandon YouTube about half a year ago because they were okay with seriously shady advertisements and insisted I turn off my ad blocker, which I did not have installed. They seem to have returned to the basic bullying now but we can sure get tired of it.

No, he would have still been blown up at 2:00, because daylight saving time is a farce that the government created and enforces. Although they can’t seem to be able to enforce any other laws.
