Sometimes we grill small steaks, bake some potatoes, steam some asparagus and make wedge salads with blue cheese. We start dinner with a drink, scotch for her, bourbon for me. Then a shrimp cocktail and our salad. Main course is served with a good bottle of red wine. Dessert is cheese cake. All that is just like going out to a fine restaurant. Only thing missing is the dented fender from valet parking……and an enormous bill.
But since the lasagna was stuffed with crunched up cereal you have to decide if you want to add extra sauce to make the lasagna palatable or convince yourself that the cereal milk will substitute for cheese. Perhaps roll a ball of ice cream in the crumbs at the bottom of the cereal box as well?
my father in law was going camping with some friends and he was in charge of meals. My mil, an artist, made menus for each of the meals, dressing up the names a bit. It was a big hit.

Question: Can I get the parsley salad without the fuzzy olives?

I told you we aren’t allowed since the health inspector shut the kitchen down for multiple violations last week.

Didn’t have time to cook; making menus.

On the upside in our household, making meal menus each week clears out both the freezer & fridge.

If the bottomless mug of cereal is Cap’n Crunch, no worries about it getting soggy.
