I live in FL and have a bat house with tenants, don’t know how they make a living this year. Very few mosquitoes and even less dragonflies.

Been there, experienced that. It was not a 46 lbs cat fish, but I was at a stocked fishing pond and the kid next to me was pulling them in on a $5 Walmart Blue special, only 2 eyes on the pole, there wasn’t even a real pole. I had nothing for the day. Mind you, at the end of 3 hours, the grandpa was like “I think we need a Fish Mortgage” this was no release and it was $10 lb for what you caught.

This summer, I didn’t see the usual number of dragonflies. Besides their appetite of for mosquitoes, I like that they come in many colors. Fun fact: not only can dragonflies hover but they can actually fly backwards!
