Accurate. Republicans do seem to think things were better once upon a time. Democrats often remind us that the old days weren’t necessarily as good as we think.

Selective memory or just plain amnesia.

A couple days ago, I asked a magat troll (now banned, I assume) to specify when it was that America was Great that magats were trying to re-create. He picked a year when His Messiah was president (sic).

Then he picked a year when women and blacks could not vote.

Magats have no idea what year or era they are trying to duplicate.

And Stantis continues to cling to his both sides do it. Equally.

I wonder if he’s seen any Trump rallies recently, or the recent town hall where NO questions were asked or answered. And magats fainted because the guy who was going to totally, totally fund his own campaign was too cheap to pay for air conditioning.

Trump was on Univision trying to court Hispanic Voters. When a voter asked why he keeps repeating the debunked myth that Haitian immigrants are eating pets in Springfield, Ohio, Trump doubled down.

“I was just saying what was reported,” Trump said – adding that migrants were “eating other things too, that they’re not supposed to”.

He didn’t elaborate. ’Wonder what else he has wrong about the Haitian diet. Hamberders? Roasted covfefe?

Given the size of his waistband, he has established credence – evidently he eats, or has eaten, everything in sight for y-e-a-r-s.

Stanti still can’t decide if humans are causing global warming, so there’s that general lack of being able to discern. Still trying to digest that reality. All I can say is, “that mindset is part of this cartoon.”

I think that 80,000 years ago there was an old man walking around whining about seeing a kid with a rock tied to a stick. “Who does this? Kid had his rock tied on a stick. Heard another kid talking about sharpening his rocks so they cut better. What’s this world coming to?”

Winslow is totally correct on this one. Carmen is being aggressively naive.

Heard there’s a push for DJT to release his medical records, in particular his congative test results. Wouldn’t do any good because 1. the doctor will write what ever DJT pays him to write and 2. DJT knows what a fat elephant looks like.

    We met at nine

    We met at eight

    I was on time

    No, you were late

Ah yes, I remember it well…

    We dined with friends

    We dined alone

    A tenor sang

    A baritone

Ah yes, I remember it well.

The very nature of any democracy, including our democratic-republic, is division. We have winners and losers in every election. It works when there is a peaceful transition of power. The losing side accepts defeat and goes out to try and win the next election. It is meant to be that way by our Founders. It worked that way up until December 20, 1860. We fought a bloody civil war and saved our Union by April 9, 1865. Since then we have had a peaceful transfer of power as we pride our selves in. Then on January 6, 2021 that peaceful transfer was attacked. That attack has not subsided yet. Our Great Nation, in order for our Liberty and Freedom to survive, needs to defeat this attack just as we did in 1865. Nothing less will do.

Oooo! What’s old is new again:

Former President Donald Trump this summer offered a financial incentive to adult film star Stormy Daniels if she agreed to keep quiet about Trump — including about the relationship that became the center of the hush money payments that ended up the subject of a New York criminal trial — ahead of this November’s election, MSNBC’s Rachel Maddow reported on Wednesday.

Sadly, this is beyond true. My parents and I had this discussion of the “then and now” a few weeks back. Kinda went like this, in a nutshell.

The madman says he’ll use military force against

“the enemy within.” That’s you. That’s me. And he means it.
