It seems to be everywhere. Our school district has a pretty serious shortage of bus drivers. From one week to the next, we never know if we’re going to have service or not.

One- it’s 5 hours spread out over 10 or so. Two- you need to pass a drug test and background check. Three- you better like kids. But still, it’s a good gig for someone retired or not looking for full time work. You’ll have all your kid’s vacation days off.

And, the reqirements are so hard. Clean driving record, able to pass background check, pass CDL test. plus ability to endure rotten kids.
