Seeing as how a core tenet to this world is that nobody is ever fired regardless of gross incompetence nor for any damages caused to persons or property, it seems like a sweet gig as long as it pays enough.

Is this still the same bus drivers meeting that began on Monday, or has Lena been wearing the same outfit for four days in a row?

I can’t wait to see tomorrow’s strip. Impossible as it seems, you just know Batiuk will come up with something feebler than Ed’s comment.

If you hired bouncers for the buses first it would be easier to find drivers.

It seems to be everywhere. Our school district has a pretty serious shortage of bus drivers. From one week to the next, we never know if we’re going to have service or not.

Even retired truck drivers don’t want that job.

Perhaps if you didn’t use Ed on your advertising you might get a better response.

One- it’s 5 hours spread out over 10 or so. Two- you need to pass a drug test and background check. Three- you better like kids. But still, it’s a good gig for someone retired or not looking for full time work. You’ll have all your kid’s vacation days off.

And, the reqirements are so hard. Clean driving record, able to pass background check, pass CDL test. plus ability to endure rotten kids.

Glamour job? Fred Flintstone didn’t think it was a glamour job.
