First square sounds very Oscar Wilde.

I still have a land line. I call it my office number. Only my family and close friends need my cell number.

“Love Thy Neighbor” makes Leroy think about the girl next door, who wears her bikini while washing her car.

The first panel reminds me of a quote I once read: “It’s not humanity I hate but rather people I can’t stand”, or something to the effect. I keep thinking it’s from Lucy of the Peanuts strip, but I could very well be wrong.

We got rid of our landline last month, there’ll be no more laughing at ME!

The top left corner panel is totally relatable. As for the bottom right corner one, the joke is on the people laughing. Landlines generally retain service in the event of mass power outages, unlike cellular devices.

I still have a landline because sometimes I set the phone down around the house and I have to ring the number with landline to listen for the ring to find darn thing.
