everyone needs a Dan somewhere in their lives …

I do calculations like that in my head – and it’s true.

Always a good idea to check.

In my store, the price per unit is right on the shelf label.

But then you need to factor in your storage capacity and desire for sixteen pop tarts and so forth. It’s a complex equation.

It would take me 16 years to eat 16 Pop Tarts.

Pop Tarts for the win.

Cherry Poptarts are my favourite but they do not came in an unfrosted style.

This would be my son and I right now. I’ve been making my own choices for years on how I and what I choose to buy. Now he’s taking over almost all my options to choose for myself. As for buying 2 boxes instead of 1 bigger one, as some “idiot from R’lyeh” said, it’s more an issue of space for storage, and if it’s really cheaper to buy in bulk. Don’t get me wrong about my son, he knows what he’s doing, so I don’t argue.

One store I rarely frequent rarely has the items on the same shelf as the tag with the price per unit.

He got that heavy from crunching on too many numbers? More for less is not always better for the diet.

I don’t buy boxes of cookies, anymore. I buy one expensive cookie at the bakery.

Way to go Dan. Your basic math skills just got Amanda 16 pop tarts instead of 12. It’s a good day Dan and Amanda. ☺️

One of the major uses of algebra in my daily life is at the grocery store.

I am so team Dan in this. Recently Costco started to carry my favourite rice ‘chips’, only snack that I can eat, which are almost $4 per 100 gram bag. Costco’s comes to $2.11 per 100 grams. Always crunch baby!

I’ve experienced this very thing with Pop Tarts before.

I can’t remember the last time I had a Pop Tart.
