Donald McRonald’s? Don’t touch the fries.

She must cook like my mother did. Blergh.

A mean bowl of cereal, huh? I wonder how well she can make toast.

When I was a kid, going to McDonald’s (and eating in the car) was a special treat.

Oh, that’s sad.

Speaking of McD’s: in the days gone by, the workers used to slice and dice all the vegetables in the morning. My friend’s daughter used to work there during high school, and she had that as her first job in McD’s.

Years later, before the closed garbage bins, my mother’s husband started a new hobby after he retired. He drove around the town dumpster diving and after a while he started to bring home bags and bags of discarded vegetables: lettuce, onions, cucumbers, tomatoes, etc. … He said that they were from McD’s. Those bags of vegetables were good for the compost.

My lady’s stepbrother used to remark that he had no idea what a poor cook his mother was until he went off to college and couldn’t understand why all the other kids were complaining about the food there.

Sounds like the kiddlets in the family need to step up and learn to cook. A single Mom working long shifts at a hospital needs help.

“Did somebody say McDonald’s?”

And… now I’m hungry for McD’s, thanks a lot.
