I gotta admit, even as a kid, I was never enthused about the annual Halloween lobotomy rituals on pumpkins. I never cared for removing the gourd’s gooey mess.
I’ve been researching health and nutritional issues for two years for a book I’m writing for senior women. I’m appalled by what I’ve discovered about what we eat in this country, agribusiness practices, the manufacturing of products as food, the health care system, etc.
My family did not cut up a pumpkin for Halloween. Dad would use a “Magic Marker” to draw the face onto it. Husband’s dad was a very good amateur artist and would paint elaborate faces on the ones he did.
