I used to like Christmas, then I got into retail and restaurant work…between the musac playing the same songs all the time and the grumpy customers who will fight over things, I’ve turned more into Scrooge. I will hide out til it’s all over.
With Xmas being so overly advertised everywhere so EARLY, it takes away the fun of it. We’ll be so sick and tired of the hoopla by the time it actually arrives it won’t be any fun at all. Ho hum. We’ll just be glad it’s over…..like the election on Nov.5. :-(
My heart goes out to everyone working retail, grocery, restaurant and similar this year who’ll be inundated with inane Christmas/Holiday music from now until 12/26 (when suddenly it’s all dropped).
I make deliveries around town and saw a Christmas tree up and lit in a house before Halloween. They did turn off the tree lights for Halloween but turned back on Nov. 1st. Left outside on for Halloween.
It looks like Thanksgiving is the casualty in my area. We went straight from Halloween displays last week to Christmas displays this week at my local Sam’s club.

You better watch out
You better not sing
If I hear that song
Your head’s gonna ring …

Watched a Scooby Doo Christmas special this morning. It was pretty good and they had the decency to wait until November 2nd instead of 1st.
