In my province of Ontario the first Monday of November is the start of rifle season. [Deer hunting]. What a coincidence. Bow season started October 1st.

Very modern outfit for the B.C. era.

Clumsy with weapons? Scary.

We have a lot of deer hunters come on my property during the season. But I do NOT allow any bow hunters. We’ve seen too many messy kills or wounded deer dying slow painful deaths. Yes, I know there can be deer wounded by rifles but seems to be far less of a problem than with bows. (I allow hunting on my property because all the new housing developments surrounding me are destroying habitat and my farm is literally overrun with wildlife since there is very little refuge left in this area. I’m one of the very few last holdouts.)

However, only 28% of the population owns a gun, so those 408 million guns are owned by 95.2 million people. That means the average gun owner has 4.3 weapons. My cousin, who lives on a farm, has 2: one for hunting, the other to protect his chickens from predators.

In Michigan bow season started 1 October and ends pretty soon. Hope Clumsy gets his deer.
