“The Sun is mostly gas, right – we’re flying right through it!”
Too bad for the girls, Arty was trained on conspiracy sites.

Well more delays, another beg your pardon from the management …. but it’s like a grand slam breakfast as we have double updates for all four of our feature… a classic comics update for the 5th and 6th:
Rachel referees dinner for the canine set, while the Alley Rangers are still finding lists of postmark targets. This is getting pretty repetitive now, don’t you think?
Pat Pending gets caught in a major updraft, and takes the 100 feet overview of his project. Then Rick and Hip find a shack to catch some shuteye in. If SOMEONE is willing to shut his eyes!
One of Brenda’s students reminds the teacher of her day job, but she’s too busy getting up close and personal with Lance to have time to answer nosy questions from would-be reporters. Gracie may have stumbled into a trap, trying to retrieve the news clipping.
Rufus is really being put upon by Pert, who shows no signs of getting out of that bed. Especially when he’s comfy, well-fed, and closely attended by a pretty girl.
In the 19th century, before there were temperature controls on ovens, housewives would test for proper baking heat by sticking their hands in the ovens. I don’t know which one the husbands hated worse—burnt hands or burnt bread!

The moron kids look shocked in the second panel. We can only hope that stupid robot flies that saucer directly into the sun and it turns to ash.

Trying to stay on the positive, I do like Jim’s cosmic stylings. Sort of a 40’s and 50’s comic book vibe to me.
