As an Alaskan, I’m used to it getting dark during the winter.

Summer is my least favorite time of year because it’s so hard to sleep when it’s bright out.

An open message to the abstract concept of Social Darwinism…

4:30 getting dark is bad enough, but sunrise at 7 makes for a long night!

It’s nice that Marigold gives her a ride home. A long dark path like that can get creepy sometimes.

If she was dumber, her parents would yell at her about stuff.

Now THIS is the best strip I’ve seen in a looooong time.

So deep and ethereal.

This is a whole step up from Dana’s usual work and it looks like they really are stepping into a portal to another world.

I liked November 24ths strip as well.

And yes, the days are starting to feel rushed on me and is simply not safe to be wandering around in the dark, even if only at 5pm.

I had a guy already play a cruel Thanksgiving prank on me by driving his car towards me like he was going to run me over and veering away at the last minute.

This strip shows the amazing progress Dana’s art skills.

the feelings of this picture just capture my soul and take it to another place and I feel pure.

Even if it’s supposed to be a comedy strip more or less.

I’ll also never forget the one where Marigold creates a dark sad and rainy empty space around herself and phoebe and where phoebe calls it the best kind of sad place.

THAT one picture hit me hard in so many ways.

A black, hopeless and rainy empty place is like the lowest, darkest place where people kill themselves because they are in a place with nowhere out and nobody to be there with them.

BUT with a friend like Marigold, there’s nothing too sad or too hopeless to overcome.

and it hits me hard because unicorns have been just what got me out of a dark place or two.

Just the picture of a unicorn lifts my spirit.

Think of how the mere picture of a flower makes you happy and is calming

The shading on this one is fantastic! A real step up from her usual work!

The first and last panel remind me of the glow that comes with snow in the night. Well done

‘Endumbening’ is a word that has a lot of applicability these days.

The art in that opening panel is just amazing. Good job, Dana!

But you are going to bed an hour later, Phoebe! More precisely you were being forced to go to bed an hour earlier (by natural solar time) in the summer.

Dumb characters in comic strips are a crutch for lazy writers. The smart characters are the most interesting. (Both smart and eccentric is the gold standard.)

A real shame that Marigold let that makes-you-dumb spell slip out during the election. Explains everything. ;-)

I know how hard it is to do stuff (believe me.. hahah). I have to say that the bomb shading was worth the no new eps for weeks. (and i know you prolly weren’t just working on awesome shading).

This ep looks really gorgeous and is really funny. Quality over quantity, right!! ?

I am a self proclaimed shader-nerd, and this kind of inspires me to make a 3D shader based on this ep! seriously! <333
