That beanie gets better every day!

As usual he can now only be disappointed when it arrives! But at least he has now six weeks of fun imaging how it would be. It is a shame for him that it does not take longer

I like the sound the beanie makes.

Beanie, beanie, beanie! That’s all he ever asks about.

I know exactly how Calvin feels. I wrote a certification exam last month and was told that the result would be sent within four weeks. It is yet to come even though now it is past four weeks. Every day is full of anxiety and anticipation.

Heck, by the time he gets that beanie, he’ll be tired of it!

Calvin, I do believe this is the first time you’ve ever been so focused on something for such a long period of time. Usually, your attention span is MUCH shorter

And I’ll say it again, runar - the last time I heard someone make that claim or something like it (on a TV sitcom), a classic answer came back from another woman: “If that’s what you think, then you ain’t doin’ it right!”

Moving on to other things…if only the beanie is decently constructed, then Calvin can fill in the rest with his imagination just as he does with his cardboard boxes. It’s his belief in the reality of the beanie’s abilities that will be his undoing.

I love Calvin’s sweet smile… the Beanie makes a cool sound…

I wonder, that Calvin spends some seconds to answer his mother’s question! I think, my sons would ask for the beanie first - perhaps than they find some time to answer my questions about their day.

I used to do that. And I still do.

Bill has tapped in to a theme that everyone of a certain age has experienced. I would be curious to know if, in this age of immediate gratification, kids still experience the build up of excitement over an anticipated purchase or event.

Lewreader, the founding fathers mentioned the “pursuit of happiness” and yes, for one we know of, Ben Franklin, that pursuit involved spending time with the ladies.

Yes, and we’ll see the consequences of his obsession with the beanie in the story arc that should immediately follow this one. Reality shocks him silly, all right! LOL

I haven’t been an avid follower of C&H until recently. Question: Has Calvin ever been that happy at his school desk?

My best days in school involved hours of soaring too.

a Jumbo Jet had to make an emergency landing earlier today after a young boy wearing a propeller beanie was sucked into one of the Jet engines. Unhurt though shaken up both boy and aircraft managed to land safely at a nearby airport where the FAA promptly confiscated the beanie to analyze its black box recorder. The FAA warned that unlicensed beanie flying has been on the rise and further investigation is underway.

On the international scene Officials in China refuted claims that they have sold hundreds of defective propeller beanies to a US company The defective beanies can experience sudden unexpected acceleration supposedly due to a poorly designed floor mat. Regulators have pressed for a propeller beanie recall siting public safety.

Notice that Calvin says that his school day was a blast because he was on the beanie subject lol. The ONLY reason why Calvin would act like that.
