Good morning Marg! Good morning Fran and Kizzzy! Good Morning L’Wolf!

For years I owned a huge television set cabinet without the TV inside of it. People would come over and you could see them staring at where there was once a screen. I finally put a Bloom County Comic strip in it where Milo sticks his head inside a television and then looks out at the audience and says,

    Empty.

    Just so.

Great idea Mike. Similar to one I had to install an aquarium in an empty TV set and rig the ON/OFF switch.to operate the aquarium light. Very soothing.

I think I’ve only seen Calvin and Hobbes in front of the television only a couple times anyway. I guess it’s the not having that like in other things that makes it worse.

Speaking of flowers, a Tiger Lily would look good on the wall, wouldn’t it, Hobbes? I doubt that Calvin would want to be a wallflower, though!

I’m not so sure about his using imagination. Every time he does, he tends to cause mayhem.

    OK, slight exaggeration. :)

Calvin hasn’t yet realized his window of artistic opportunity. Creating a mural could entertain them for hours! All they need is a ladder and some crayons….

Actually, Calvin does tend to use his imagination and spends a lot of time playing outside, so I don’t think he’s addicted to non-stop tv viewing, just that he has some favorite shows he’s missing.

This is the first time I’ve ever seen SEVEN!!! (7) different spams on one comic, and under three different names. For these ones, they’ve changed their inane text so that gocomics won’t be able to screen them out based on the annoying unique text they used to use.

I hope that nobody’s stupid enough to click on their links. But even if they get very few hits from bothering us with this, unfortunately it costs them nothing (except a few second’s worth of time) to post a ridiculous number of spams on this site.

I really wish there was some way for gocomics to get rid of these.

I just got done flagging 7 pieces of spam! Usually it’s all gone by the time I get here in the early evenings but that’s on weekdays. Today it’s Saturday and, once again, someone has fallen down on the job at GoComics because here it is, 6:38 p.m., e.s.t., and it’s all still here.

Come on, Calvin. If you don’t want to read a regular book in order to further educate and expand your mind then just pick up one of your old comic books you haven’t read in a really long time ….. that way, it’ll seem brand new!!!!!

Hello all in our house if someone took are tv give my husband an excuse to replace as it’s close to 7 years old still fairly new but will be the 2nd time we’ve had to have it worked on. When I was kids our tv quit my dad waited thought we don’t need no tv and wouldn’t buy it the main problem was pure boredom no books to read we just sat around nothing to do. Then dad finally after 2 or 3 days decided to get one. With tv we saw the best old comedy shows and clean family shows. Now I wonder why writers put some shows on. We found one show that is fairly well here they have a 30 min one on Wed. that is church for some. My dad missed shows like old Gunsmoke, Bonanza, Waltons, Bill Cosby, Little House on the Prairie, etc. By the way on books I made up for it and bought a lot as an young adult to older adult I don’t have to worry about not finishing in time to return to library.

For summer it was extremely boring nothing to read no library close by. If we went to garage sales it was for outdated clothes, no books. Occasionally doll that needed thrown away. So I know how Calvin feels. Thanks for letting me air my own thoughts.
