My female dog is a marker. She’s not particularly dominant, but she does like to lead when we are working in the hospital. She has her favorite departments to visit. She has marked outside the hospital, but never inside, not in 7 years. I have seen her prop one leg up (she’s an 18 lb beagle) on a fire hydrant. She once peed on a car’s tire. It was the only time I ever saw a whitewall in the neighborhood. If there is a high clump of grass, she will pee on it. I think she drives the male dogs in here crazy, as they are all required by dog rules to pee over hers.
