Coach Perm will insult GilPa and challenge his manhood. Oxymoron. GT will save the day and teach no nads a valuable lesson. Beth will hopefully look sexy and give our hero a big kiss.
Given them the best years of his life? Too bad he hasn’t given them the best effort of his life. Not even close. And speaking of close, today’s Mopped Up Thorp is this close:
Serious question for Henry. Are you actively trying to get people to stop reading this script? Early on, I tried to defend you, and I still defend you against the racist comments; but you’re pushing things too far. There are folks who have read this script for 50 or more years. It seems like your mission is to drive them away. I suspect you think your storylines are going to attract a younger crowd, but I can’t see how this is possible. School age sports fans are not going to read this when you get every sports detail wrong. Other school-age kids aren’t going to read because the script is a now a story about a broken marriage and how it has affected a small town high school coaching staff. You’ve killed both the sports and the teen angst.
So, I dropped this strip a while back for obvious reasons. Now I’m checking in to see what’s up. Shock. Horror. What the heck am I looking at? Paleolithic art? Chicken Scratch? Seriously, there are tons of artists out there looking for work! At least find someone that gives a sh!t.
Huh…and honestly…maybe he should? It’s been his whole life outside his kids. It’s part of why his marriage slowly broke down. While it might be dangerous for Milford…it’s an interesting angle to explore.

We now have a philosophic conundrum: What is a step back for Gil? Buddha? Grasshopper? Bueller?

Maybe Henry and Rachel should step back from writing and illustrating.
