Having once had a horse shot out from under me in Colorado by an over-eager hunter, who mistook my mount for an elk – the horse was a palomino and I was wearing an orange vest – I can only say that anyone who ventures out in the wilds during hunting season is risking their lives.
Yeah, most hunters are responsible … yadah, yadah, yadah … but there are too many wackos out there who have no business handling a squirt gun, much less a deadly firearm!
Reminds me of a neighbor who drives a big dually pickup all year (mostly to the grocery store), has a giant canvas wall tent with a wood stove inside, thousands of dollars of special clothes, a half dozen shotguns, and drives hundreds of miles in search of the “right” pond, all the while saying he only does it to save money on meat.

Reminds me of a joke.
The guy said that sometimes he drives his car; sometimes he uses his bicycle; sometimes he walks, and some times he takes the bus.
Whichever way he travels, he hates the people who aren’t doing what he’s doing.

Explain the difference between killing fish to eat and killing ducks to eat. Why is one bad and the other just fine.
