I would also point out that its just man that thinks he’s the most intelligent life on earth. I suspect there are a few other animals that would disagree if it was worth their time.
I went to college in a small canyon, so there was wind most days at some point. There was a short retaining wall along one of the pathways between buildings. The wind whistled right over the top of it, of course, and got anyone who came around that corner. However, much of the day, the sun shone nicely down into the corner. One day as I came along, battling the chilly wind — trying to keep hair, books, and clothing somewhat in place — I noticed one of the campus cats. He was curled up, napping in the sun, totally out of the wind and all. I looked at him and suddenly wondered why in the world we called them “dumb animals.” He had it made.

Yes, but is it because of the leaf blower doing an unending task of the fall or the cigarette? Maybe both.

Hey kitty, if it wasn’t so noisy you’d be out there chasing all those flying leaves

It has yet to be proven that intelligence has any survival value.

“Man, the only animal that fertilizes a lawn so he can cut it more often”
I think it was Henny Youngman, but I’m not sure. I didn’t find it on the net.

Dog-gone-it cat, you’re making a statement, not questioning the statement!

He’s got a bundle of burning leaves in his mouth and a tank full of gasoline on his back. How intelligent is that?
