Amen. Here’s to a peaceful and happy time with family and remembering they’re more important.

Obviously, I’ve never attended a Thanksgiving Event, (never really understood the purpose – Same applies to 5th November. Are we commiserating that Fawkes was caught or relieved?), but is it usual to take food away from the party?

No sports, religion or politics at the Thanksgiving table, makes for a fun and easy evening :-))

Ninja Sloth was at party too but he leaves too early.

This year’s presidential election in the U.S. was not politics. Good of you to only use the cutlery for the meal, anyway.

More and more have given up on all politics. Including myself. I pay no attention to it whatsoever any longer. Which in a way is sad. When we can have intelligent balanced compromising discussions I will return. So basically never.

…but a few snide remarks were made…..

They all reached through the window, grabbed the food and ran. Hence no politics!

Tomorrow with the in laws will be interesting. The majority of the siblings and spouses are rabid conservatives while a couple of them and the majority of the 20 something generation are flaming liberals. Of course, I enjoy priming the pump and then stepping back to watch the mayhem.

My sister keep casting out the lures, and I keep ignoring them. I tell her, there is no sense in talking politics because you know we will disagree. Then I turn the conversation to something less controversial like the wars in the Middle East.

I wonder how many still celebrate it. It’s not commercial, so you don’t see it in retail stores. It seems like it’s just the day before Black Friday now.

Ummm that would be a miracle in my family. Which is why I am sitting this year out.

Why are they taking their completely uneaten food home? And what is the woman in the beige jacket doing?

Might as well, it’s most likely the last one you’ll be able to say thanks for anything…!

Of the many Thanksgiving celebrations I’ve been part of, I don’t recall any where anyone argued about anything.

Well, Mr Parisi, maybe they took to heart your suggestion (wasn’t it last year?) of a “no one wants to hear your nonsense” table in the basement and threatened to use one. That was a very good idea, by the way.

I like this one, too. Thanks for the idea and for a good laugh.
