Not ours. We started not inviting those people when we started hosting. And now up here in Canada no one is willing to visit for the weekend or even one night. And my cousin and her wife live in Saskatchewan and have been coming for Christmas for the last five years and taking time off for a USAian holiday is not always possible.

I’m hoping most families can put aside their differences and realize how much they have to be grateful for, not the least of which is each other. I’m praying love wins.

Not really. It’s just the difficult family gatherings you hear about the most. The good ones are always treated as mundane. Look for the positive, look for ways to keep and foster the good and possibly, gently interfere with the bad.

It’s really rude to wear a hat to the table.
