This is the first time I can remember that they squirrel and the cat have actually had a discussion …. I never knew they could communicate with one another. I thought the squirrel and Peek-a-boo had different dialects and could only understand other squirrels, or cats, as the case may be.
Tippy Squirrel, the matriarch of our street, and my Jasper Cat communicate. She’ll tease him into a chase which ends when she climbs the tree and he (who is VERY capable of climbing with his untrimmed claws), sits looking up at her. Other squirrels see Jasper through the front window and sound the “kkk-aaa-ttt” alarm endlessly!

You might have just, uh, put him out of his misery. But, after the last panel, for the kiddies and sensitive souls.

Peekaboo looks incredibly sassy in the third-to-last panel.
