One of the reasons we stopped exchanging gifts this time of year. We have everything we need and during the year, if something breaks, we repair or replace it.

Probably $50s by the quarter pound.

Now he doesn’t have to roll his fat arrse off the couch and get something for her.

when my family asks what I want for Christmas I tell them nothing, God has blessed me with all I need. I just want Christmas with my family around me.

She comes across as an awful person.

I bought my wife a heated vest and since it is already cold out, I gave it to her when it arrived. Yesterday was the first time we got back from a winter dog walk and she said she had to cool off.

I’ve been married to my Mrs for 18 years, and together for 25. Out of 25 Christmases I have been able to get her exactly two gifts she liked. Everything else she has returned or exchanged. Last year, we got each other nothing. (We both also forgot our 18th anniversary in Feb!)

Honeybunch describes the basic problem with buying presents for adults.

We gave up on presents years ago for the same reason. Plus, we usually travel during this time. Today is my birthday -74-and my husband left the best present on my desk – a pack of Hostess Snoballs. I’m happy.

She doesn’t want cash either, but I suppose she can exchange it for something else.

But it’s also her cash already. This is why my wife and me stopped buying each other Christmas gifts. What’s the point when it comes out of the same bank account? “Here’s something I bought for you with your money.”

Wow, she is unhelpful!! I’m going out shopping today, dollar store. I will buy a few things I need, leave them where my husband can see them, and then tell him what I want for Christmas. The list will be the things I got at the dollar store. He only has to wrap them and put them under the tree.

Make it $5 bills. It will make the thought of the gift last longer by a longer counting time.

She’ll probably even be particular about what gift card you give her.

It’s a gift. Accept it or be a b**** about it. Either way, it’s your dysfunction, not his, if he makes a genuine effort and you decide to not like it.
