Speaking of temperatures, it’s been warm for December. We are still in the high only 3 days next week in the high 50s. Oh, that’s right, it’s a LA Nina year. No rain…sigh.
We are plenty frozen here, that’s for sure! But warming temperatures into the mid and upper 40’s are on the way before it turns colder again next week. It was so cold yesterday, I didn’t go outside to bring in my trash cans. I’ll do that today before I go to work.
I’m off of work today and it’s cold so I get to see the wildlife show. I lost count at 17 mourning doves, too many juncos to count, at least 10 cardinals, 7 or 8 blue jays, 4 gray and 2 red squirrels and 1 pigeon. There were 5 flying squirrels when I went to bed last night.
Maybe not the best movie to see when it’s freezing cold. On the other hand, watching it when it’s blazing hot outside might be a welcome relief. On another note, saw a golden crowned kinglet and three nuthatches while out walking today.

Do you wanna kill a snowman?
Run him over with a snowplow
We can do it all in snow-time
It just takes a little snow-how

The first one is pretty enjoyable. I don’t care much for the second one, though.
