Nothing says Christmas quite like sardines.

A date which will live in infamy.

Look! The flies have formed a garland….

After much thought (not really!), I decided AGAINST hanging sardines from my Christmas tree this year. It may be tradition (well, not in my house, but it is with the Ten Cats) , but I just don’t think they would go with the rest of my decorations.

I’m guessing they will attract many guests over the holidays, mostly furry ones

No sardines on my little tree! The fibre optic lights are enough ornamentation.

Yep, I’m LOLing!!

Haha!! Good way to get your tree knocked over and ravaged!

At least they aren’t strips of hákarl.

Christmas lights, on a timer, are strung across the fireplace. Candles, on timers, are in the front windows of all 3 flights. Looks homey. I may use the fireplace more this year. The 2 newer kitties, Dudley and Sunny, have yet to experience it. I have several bags of cut firewood in the garage.

NO SARDINES allowed in this house!!!!

Chesney, Mr. Hollingsworth and Bluebell featured. Had to use MCTS’ TEN CATS Chart once again. It looks a lot like Lil Oliver as the center cat, but doesn’t speak kitteny, no cute Oliver-isms. : – )

Sounds like a wonderful family tradition.

Better sardines than tinsel. (Tinsel is NOT good for cats.) I’d rather have ornaments on my tree than sardines, but to each their own. On another note, saw eleven golden crowned kinglets, two juncos, and five varied thrushes while out walking today.
