Tabling ideas

The thought counts for a lot.

There was a coffee table, unused, in front of the couch when he got the idea.

It’s not too late to run out and get some concrete blocks and a board.

A stack of pallets would work just fine.

IKEA, and at least you can say you assembled it yourself.

Now is the time for him to start learning about being crafty, he can take classes or read books buy some basic tools and in a couple of years he should be able to build something. But he seems to like sitting on the couch watching tv, so its probably not going to happen. I started doing woodworking 35 years ago, the first couple of years I basically made sawdust, as I learned.

Go to an antique store or second hand store. Good quality furniture is going for next to nothing as the newer generations have no use for heavy furniture.

For Pete’s sake, Bub! Get her a book on woodworking and let her pick a project. Then all her gifts to you can be tools from now on.

Why doesn’t he take a course in wood working, then he can make what he wants for next Christmas and have a feeling of success.
