I prefer remote work too. I understand not all jobs are designed to make that even remotely effective (see what I did there?), but considering the day and age we’re in and the importance of being there for family, it’s a step-up in the workforce, for sure.

I know of several companies (including some government departments) that stopped leases or sold property when they went WFH. I doubt they want to return to that expense just to satisfy some mid-level twit’s desire for face time.
