Luckily, after some back and forth, the new insurance company gave me credit for the progress I’d made toward my deductible with the previous company. Saved me a lot of money.
Not an interesting story, but something to keep in mind if your insurance changes mid-year.

Being it’s only the 3rd day of the year, he either has a low deductible or that doctor charges outrageous prices. Most likely it’s not a low deductible.
